Ticket sale (Minolta 303b 58mm 1.4, Fuji Superia 200)
A month ago there were two or three days that were very foggy. I got a few nice pictures of it on film. This one is from the Central railway station. That's were I'm going today before 6 am because now that I don't have lectures or anything, I'm working. When this pic was taken, I was going to see 22-Pistepirkko. |

Shadow plant (EOS350D, Canon 50mm 1.8 mkII)
This is a shadow of one of my plants. Looked nice so I took some pics of it with Minolta on b&w-film but also with Canon because knew I couldn't develop it right away but I still wanted it here as soon as possible. This version was just an experiment with Photoshop but turned out quite nice so I posted it here. B/W was my first idea but finally wanted to keep the leaves green.
Next Contradisco Club is coming January 4th. It's in Club Liberté. Be there! |

Espe (EOS350D, Canon 50mm 1.8 mkII)
22-Pistepirkko had a birthday party at Tavastia 3.11. 22PP and all their side projects did a gig. It was fun. Nice people and the best music. |

[Nov. 27th, 2006|01:08 pm] |

I have this club called Contradisco with my friend(s). We are trying to get more dj-gigs and one bar owner wanted us to do a mixtape. So we did. And we (me&my dj-friend) also made covers for it. We just cut some magazines and glued things together. Now the original artists will kill us. But I put it here anyway. Just for making it clear: we're not making money with other people's work here. |

Saturday morning light (EOS350D, Sigma 28mm 1.8)
These were taken at my girlfriends place today.
Both bands, Tundramatiks and Plain Ride, played good gigs yesterday. Tundramatiks' gigs get people on a good mood or then those audiences have been all good fakers :) The mood is good, good is the mood tonight at Gloria too! That's because 22-Pistepirkko is playing there. Nice to see them again but it's a shame I won't see Lady Escape play in Liberté. I really hope I'm able to see their next gig. |

Shadows of leaves on a rail of an old bridge (Minolta 303b 55mm, out-of-date TMAX 100)
Name pretty much says it all except that it was taken in Rauma 10th of June in 2006. Light in this picture is kinda strange I think. I had a big problem deciding whether I should use black or white border. I too often have problems with borders and then I use like ages thinking of them.
This is a really good band. I'm probably already late (Pitchfork has probably seen this one coming like a million years ago) but it's new to me anyway. And it rocks hard. And this it I'm talking about is The Noisettes. I can't wait to get their record. Today Tundramatiks and Plain Ride are playing in Semifinal and tomorrow there's too many good gigs in Helsinki. Anyway I'm very hungry now and I'll have to go to eat something. |

| Can't sleep? |

Dusk (Minolta 303b 55mm, Kodak Color Plus 200)
This will be the last of the colour series for now. Next I'll continue with b&w again (and probably digital). This is from my backyard at sunset time in April. I got some other nice shots too the same evening. So I'll probably return to this particular day later.
I've had fever and flu for three days now. I really don't like this at all. I was supposed to be working. Now I just woke up with no reason so I decided to do this quick post here. I've been listening to a lot of music today: The Mars Volta, Sigur-Rós, Ratatat, Comets on Fire etc. etc. New Mars Volta sounds great. Can't really analyze it after only a few listens but the Vermicide chorus is the part which has taken over my mind for now. And hey, this Black Keys I'm listening now is pretty good. Like White Stripes but more bluesy. That's the first thing that popped into my mind of it altough the true influences are most likely somewhere else as you know. Now back to sleep. It's two o'clock for somebody's sake. |
